With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Ricart in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Seracino Inglott saved Meerkats FC from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Julio Gasteiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Seracino Inglott was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Meerkats FC's Carl Chircop got a free kick in the 12th minute. Tiburones Pacufantásticos's Constantino Ricart got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Nicholas Grixti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meerkats FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiburones Pacufantásticos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Meerkats FC's Nicholas Grixti got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Tiburones Pacufantásticos's Constantino Ricart in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meerkats FC's goalie prevented a goal. Carl Chircop charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Mateo Ieltxu fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiburones Pacufantásticos's protests and gave Mateo Ieltxu a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tiburones Pacufantásticos! Tiburones Pacufantásticos:s Elvio Lada showed great skill when he stopped Nicholas Grixti:s penalty. In the 25th minute, Glenn Tabone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Camilo Phelipe scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Seracino Inglott, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stephen Saliba hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Constantino Ricart came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Tiburones Pacufantásticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Ricart couldn't finish the play. When Tiburones Pacufantásticos's Camilo Phelipe in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meerkats FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Tiburones Pacufantásticos's Leonel Karlo got a free kick in the 38th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Constantino Ricart put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Daniel Seracino Inglott. Daniel Seracino Inglott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Ricart, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christopher Camilleri made a kick off. Camilo Phelipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Constantino Ricart in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Seracino Inglott, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 59thth minute of the game Constantino Ricart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meerkats FC's Daniel Seracino Inglott was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glenn Tabone during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Glenn Tabone kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tiburones Pacufantásticos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paolo Bautista in the 62nd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Meerkats FC's goalie and right to Camilo Phelipe. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Meerkats FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Camilleri in the 68th minute of play forced Tiburones Pacufantásticos's goalkeeper Elvio Lada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvio Lada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Camilleri in the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Constantino Ricart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Seracino Inglott was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Camilo Phelipe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Seracino Inglott having to make a save. During the 78th minute of the match Glenn Tabone completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Glenn Tabone a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tiburones Pacufantásticos played a much better game than Meerkats FC and deserved their victory. The Meerkats FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
