After a defensive mix-up in Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s zone, Karel Fic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Ali Kaan Ulağ made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Mirek Pyszko sent off a good shot on target. If David Ulrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Kaan Ulağ made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Ulrich in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Ulrich got free with Ali Kaan Ulağ in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AFC Cherries's performance. The match ended with a win for AFC Cherries.
