Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Iurie Bănățeanu kicked off to start the match. Gigi Bobei received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laureano Sesimbra came out and tried to block the shot, but Gigi Bobei slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. The supporters of Castores FC booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silver Phoenix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castores FC's Laureano Sesimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Bobei in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Bănățeanu in the 19th minute of play forced Castores FC's goalkeeper Laureano Sesimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Castores FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Graça. 27 minutes into the match, Alfredo Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valer Onișoru. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcu Tudor during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Castores FC booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcu Tudor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laureano Sesimbra made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gigi Bobei sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute Rui Graça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valer Onișoru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Graça, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Laureano Sesimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Bănățeanu in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Gigi Bobei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Codruț Macaneață made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 44thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Laureano Sesimbra would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Graça was the one to do the kick off. Laureano Sesimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Bobei in the 54th minute of play. Gigi Bobei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Laureano Sesimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silver Phoenix hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Iurie Bănățeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castores FC the free kick. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Iurie Bănățeanu hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Castores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Bobei came free, but Laureano Sesimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Stroe. Luís Sequeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
