Fabien Lafont dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 12th minute, Gorm Adsersen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabien Lafont came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Skellerup FC's Kristjan Høgaard. But to his dismay, Kristjan Høgaard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Fabien Lafont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristjan Høgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Polly Magoo Juniors's Fabien Lafont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristjan Høgaard in the 19th minute of play. Etienne Joubert hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Harald Lundsgaardvig took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabien Lafont. Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Josef Belhøj struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Fabien Lafont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skellerup FC. After 30 played minutes Polly Magoo Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Lindström. In the 31st match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Nyman to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute of the match Harald Lundsgaardvig sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabien Lafont skillfully saved the ball. Marius Tradsborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Lindström in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Polly Magoo Juniors's zone, Gorm Adsersen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabien Lafont came out of the goal and Gorm Adsersen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Terkild Lunn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabien Lafont read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Polly Magoo Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Kristjan Høgaard came free, but Fabien Lafont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kristjan Høgaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabien Lafont was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Kristjan Høgaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Lafont was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Skellerup FC's Kristjan Høgaard got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristjan Høgaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Fabien Lafont when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 70 minutes, Ulf Laagerup mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skellerup FC and the Polly Magoo Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, Ulf Laagerup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marius Tradsborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Alin in the 71st minute of play. After 72 played minutes Skellerup FC got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Panholm. In the 74th minute Torbjörn Lindström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Tradsborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marius Tradsborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Alin in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Gorm Adsersen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Polly Magoo Juniors's Fabien Lafont got control of the ball when Kristjan Høgaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Skellerup FC's Josef Belhøj nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabien Lafont made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Skellerup FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
