In the 3rd minute Michalis Labriakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ozan İskender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cappadocia FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kuddusî Uluğ hit a great ball. The supporters of ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ booed when Cappadocia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aycan Uyguner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ozan İskender didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michalis Labriakos went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Themos Kostikos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ozan İskender. Cappadocia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Themos Kostikos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Cappadocia FC's Aycan Uyguner got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ozan İskender showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thrasivoulos Stamatis in the 24th minute of the match. Berkem Canpolat kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Cappadocia FC's Ozan İskender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukas Skiriotis in the 31st minute of play. Alexis Sakallieros was a little too slow when Berkem Canpolat got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 46th minute Kleon Tavlaridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ozan İskender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cappadocia FC's zone, Themos Kostikos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ozan İskender came out of the goal and Themos Kostikos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Cappadocia FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berkem Canpolat to make the kick off. Ozan İskender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kleon Tavlaridis in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Dimos Chatzis hit a great ball. In the 65th minute of the match Kuddusî Uluğ sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexis Sakallieros skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Kleon Tavlaridis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ozan İskender. That made the score 2-4 after 84 minutes of play. Reşat Hacısalihoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reşat Hacısalihoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Cappadocia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reşat Hacısalihoğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Kleon Tavlaridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ozan İskender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Aycan Uyguner came free, but Alexis Sakallieros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
