The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes lyptus got a freekick which was hit by Mogens Steenbeck. Sigfried Solbirk came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by ELMUÑE's Bernardino Donio. But to his dismay, Bernardino Donio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jose Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute Bernardino Donio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigfried Solbirk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cirilo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Farris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Santiago having to interfere. When Kenneth Pejstrup came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the lyptus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Pejstrup couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Sten Farris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sigfried Solbirk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilbert Præstbrogaard hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half ELMUÑE were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Jose Vincent's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sigfried Solbirk was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jose Vincent managed to get in a good position for a shot. ELMUÑE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Vincent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigfried Solbirk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, lyptus's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Batista came free, but Sigfried Solbirk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to lyptus getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Dirch Feigh hit a great ball. After 65 minutes, Sten Farris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the lyptus and the ELMUÑE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, lyptus's Sten Farris got a free kick in the 65th minute. Cirilo Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cirilo Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Sigfried Solbirk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, lyptus's Theis Molberg got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 74th minute of the match Pablo Taurino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sigfried Solbirk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mauricio Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilbert Præstbrogaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes lyptus got a freekick which was hit by Theis Molberg. lyptus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Jose Vincent scored to the left of an out of position Sigfried Solbirk, making the score, 0-2. ELMUÑE played a much better game than lyptus and deserved their victory. The lyptus players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
