After 2 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Giorgio. Alec Naisbitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Tagliente, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The supporters of Harlow AFC booed when Santoryu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole Battisti didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermanno Tagliente in the 11th minute of play forced Harlow AFC's goalkeeper Alec Naisbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Dario Giorgio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Harlow AFC's Alec Naisbitt. Alec Naisbitt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Santoryu FC booed when Harlow AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Bland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronan Folan hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Ercole Battisti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Corrado Lizzi came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Santoryu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Lizzi couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Harlow AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Pierre Pickard hit a great ball. Alec Naisbitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Giorgio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Santoryu FC defense, Pierre Pickard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Verdecchia. The Santoryu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Verdecchia should have stopped the shot. Dario Giorgio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Harlow AFC's zone, Ermanno Tagliente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alec Naisbitt came out of the goal and Ermanno Tagliente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Santoryu FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pierre Pickard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ercole Battisti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute Dario Giorgio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Naisbitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermanno Tagliente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, Christopher Forrest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Ercole Battisti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Verdecchia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Bancroft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Giorgio in the 78th minute of play forced Harlow AFC's goalkeeper Alec Naisbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermanno Tagliente got free with Alec Naisbitt in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute Dario Giorgio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Naisbitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Harlow AFC got a freekick which was hit by Glyn Crowther. In the 89th minute, Pierre Pickard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harlow AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
