After 3 minutes, Santo Chesus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kikemania FC and the Ágætis Byrjun players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Kikemania FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Chesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Santo Chesus was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 5 minutes had been played. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Kikemania FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Chesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Victor Zethof from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Fausto Hanni's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fausto Hanni made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Edgard Ooijer sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Kikemania FC's goalkeeper Fausto Hanni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Ooijer. With a little luck, Kikemania FC's Fausto Hanni got control of the ball when Edgard Ooijer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fausto Hanni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Ooijer's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Edgard Ooijer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fausto Hanni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Fausto Hanni managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Ágætis Byrjun's Edgard Ooijer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Desiderio Loramendi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Fausto Hanni acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Victor Zethof. When Teo Patrido came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Kikemania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Patrido couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Ágætis Byrjun's Edgard Ooijer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fausto Hanni. Fausto Hanni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Fausto Hanni was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Hub van Loo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hub van Loo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. 53 minutes into the match, Hub van Loo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Kikemania FC's Fausto Hanni. It was a penalty for Kikemania FC! A collision led to Kikemania FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Emiliano Manuelo hit a great ball. Fausto Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hub van Loo in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Edgard Ooijer made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Hanni. Kikemania FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Kikemania FC's Emiliano Manuelo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marcus Zaagman, made in the 92nd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ágætis Byrjun fully deserved thier win.
