After 15 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Tailleur. Andreas Meynen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erasmo Aznar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. The supporters of All Stars Gent booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Rocio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ernest Tailleur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Atlético Nacional defense, Ernest Tailleur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquiles Iago. The Atlético Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquiles Iago should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Godofredo Manni made a precise shot to the right of Andreas Meynen. All Stars Gent's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All Stars Gent's Andreas Meynen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save All Stars Gent from getting a goal against them. Godofredo Manni received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andreas Meynen came out and tried to block the shot, but Godofredo Manni slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 38th minute. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when All Stars Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Tailleur didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Severo Iraitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andreas Meynen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Vela in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Godofredo Manni notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of All Stars Gent's Andreas Meynen. Andreas Meynen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Godofredo Manni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, All Stars Gent's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Aznar came free, but Andreas Meynen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Silvio Elodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Meynen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ernest Tailleur managed to get in a good position for a shot. All Stars Gent's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Tailleur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Vela took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andreas Meynen. Andreas Meynen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. Atlético Nacional's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
