One of Ibirama Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Despidida AFC:s goal. Conrado Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Jorrin in the 10th minute of the match. The Despidida AFC fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Despidida AFC's Elpidio Jorrin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ulises Hotz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Conrado Linares. Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Despidida AFC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Ibirama Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Albino Argider took the corner. Albino Argider made a great header on Despidida AFC's corner, it was just that Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Isaias Oihan hit a great ball. Nereo Nevada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor de Azevedo in the 29th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Elpidio Jorrin put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Conrado Linares. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Albino Argider got a free kick in the 35th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Maurício Queirós tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute Ceferino Dimo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Iyan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Despidida AFC's Nereo Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor de Azevedo in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, José Vítor de Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nereo Nevada was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Gaston Gar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Conrado Linares made a huge save. If Elpidio Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 63rd minute, Nicolas Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Elpidio Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, José Vítor de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Elpidio Jorrin hit a great ball. Gaston Gar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Linares having to interfere. Gaston Gar came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Conrado Linares could save by the left post. Nicolas Valladares hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Jorrin in the 84th minute of play. With splendid footwork Elpidio Jorrin arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-4 by the left pole in the game's 85th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor de Azevedo came free, but Nereo Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Conrado Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Despidida AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Despidida AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
