After a rather tough play, Merceron United's Damiano Masciarelli got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Damiano Perazzolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merceron United's Dario Gelsomini got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Remir kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Carlo Mandelli came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Merceron United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Mandelli couldn't finish the play. Đ∈p○rㄒﺃν○ ∈kдㄒ○m√'s Fulgencio Intxixu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Facchetti in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Jaime Remir made a precise shot to the right of Carmine Latini. Merceron United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dario Gelsomini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Intxixu having to make a save. Merceron United's Carlo Mandelli got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmine Latini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Tano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damiano Perazzolo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, Đ∈p○rㄒﺃν○ ∈kдㄒ○m√'s Teo Tano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carmine Latini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

Fulgencio Intxixu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Gelsomini, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Mandelli in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulgencio Intxixu saved Đ∈p○rㄒﺃν○ ∈kдㄒ○m√ from getting behind. Merceron United's Carlo Mandelli got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
