Frédéric Febvre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aníbal Arruda. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Dedé Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renaud Berthier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enrique Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Alexandre Albon scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renaud Berthier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Alexandre Albon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alexandrie CF the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Alexandre Albon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Giovanni Diniz got a free kick in the 44th minute. Renaud Berthier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Albon went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claude Francois to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold Campet during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renaud Berthier was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Patrick Sarmento. In the 55th minute Alexandre Albon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaud Berthier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When José Poizat fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alexandrie CF's protests and gave José Poizat a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Alexandrie CF got a freekick which was hit by José Poizat. Renaud Berthier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedé Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Jacinto Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jumeuc Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Renaud Berthier made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Dedé Fernandes sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Jacinto Vale made a precise shot to the right of Renaud Berthier. Alexandrie CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Renaud Berthier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renaud Berthier came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Dedé Fernandes. But to his dismay, Dedé Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 83 minutes into the match, Alexandrie CF's goal looked a bit too open when Dedé Fernandes came free, but Renaud Berthier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Alexandre Albon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Albon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renaud Berthier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Alexandre Albon took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Renaud Berthier to make any attempt to save it. Alexandrie CF's Frédéric Febvre got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Albon in the 96th minute of play forced Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Renaud Berthier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Secco to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute of the match Frédéric Febvre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aníbal Arruda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Alexandrie CF manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Jumeuc Futebol Clube to win.
