Marcelino Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chuck Claringbold, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Gregory Pegrum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Pirmin. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Chuck Claringbold put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelino Abalos. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manly FC had won after a very even match.
