Juan Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Sein in the 13th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Nunez Quinteros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sajones F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Erechim - FSCMZ the free kick. After 18 played minutes Sajones F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Quinteros. Julio Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulisses Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 23rd minute Ulisses Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Sajones F.C.'s Nunez Quinteros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. José Augusto Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Quinten having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Jonatan Herauso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Meira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Quinten. Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Sajones F.C. booed when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tony Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's protests and gave Tony Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nova Erechim - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tony Custódio hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Gerardo Quin put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Sajones F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ:s goal. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Nova Erechim - FSCMZ. Ulisses Santos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Quinten. 1-1.

In the 52nd minute, Jonatan Herauso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Quinten came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Ulisses Santos. But to his dismay, Ulisses Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Nova Erechim - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Lúcio Meira hit a great ball. Sajones F.C.'s Julio Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Tande in the 65th minute of play. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Ulisses Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Quinteros came free, but Juan Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Sein charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Sein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Genaro Sein hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Santos in the 76th minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Julio Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sajones F.C. booed when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
