Colby Sherwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes American Airlines got a freekick which was hit by Cristopher Bustamante. Cristopher Bustamante's late challenge caught a 广州太阳神足球俱乐部's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristopher Bustamante helped the player get up and apologised. American Airlines's Vern McAllister proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save American Airlines from getting a goal against them. When Cristopher Bustamante was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. Vern McAllister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 毛骋默, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. American Airlines's Vern McAllister proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save American Airlines from getting a goal against them. Vern McAllister stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 许常骋's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

In the 83rd minute, 许常骋 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
