The audience thought a goal was coming when Fortunato Canal got free with Dinei Hermes in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 played minutes Linterna verde got a freekick which was hit by Generosb Solano. If Dolfo Aledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dolfo Aledo charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dolfo Aledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Linterna verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dolfo Aledo to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Dinei Hermes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. BLACK STAR FC's Dinei Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolfo Aledo in the 44th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gernando Ribeiro to make the kick off. Rumaldo Gayoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, BLACK STAR FC's Cesinha Nogueira got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of Linterna verde booed when BLACK STAR FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernando Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 played minutes, Linterna verde's Dolfo Aledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dinei Hermes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linterna verde reached it. Gernando Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zoilo Rojica came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by BLACK STAR FC's Gernando Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Gernando Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 63 minutes into the game, Linterna verde's Rumaldo Gayoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dinei Hermes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 68 minutes into the match, Generosb Solano notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of BLACK STAR FC's Dinei Hermes. Dinei Hermes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute Dolfo Aledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, BLACK STAR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Generosb Solano came free, but Dinei Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes, Fortunato Canal made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. BLACK STAR FC's Dinei Hermes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dolfo Aledo was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of BLACK STAR FC booed when Linterna verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolfo Aledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
