The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafin Stephen during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Black Sky FC got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Stephen. A collision led to Black Sky FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Saverio Weather hit a great ball. Melquiades Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunato Canal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Linterna verde getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bibiano Abril hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Black Sky FC's zone, Dolfo Aledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Sergi came out of the goal and Dolfo Aledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Linterna verde's Zoilo Rojica proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Linterna verde from getting a goal against them. Melquiades Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demetrio Cerillo in the 16th minute of play. Linterna verde's Zoilo Rojica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Mateo in the 19th minute of play. Zoilo Rojica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Gamus, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Linterna verde's Zoilo Rojica got control of the ball when Cipriano Gamus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Black Sky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Marques to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute of the match Refugio Balaguer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melquiades Sergi skillfully saved the ball. Serafin Mateo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Linterna verde's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Cerillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Sergi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano Gamus kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cipriano Gamus made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rumaldo Gayoso got free with Melquiades Sergi in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Linterna verde's Demetrio Cerillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Fortunato Canal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Nereo Rufo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Black Sky FC's Saverio Weather got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 74 minutes, Cipriano Gamus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Sky FC and the Linterna verde players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Black Sky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Gamus to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the game, Fortunato Canal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Melquiades Sergi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Demetrio Cerillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fortunato Canal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Melquiades Sergi made a huge save. Linterna verde played a much better game than Black Sky FC and deserved their victory. The Black Sky FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
