The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Mário Durães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pál Makai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Ivaylo Yordanov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pál Makai was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 14 played minutes Sporting Clube de Gaya got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Vilhena. Dunakeszi Lake City were furious when Zsolt Hubina was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 27 minutes of play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Eduardo Neves made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pál Makai was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Murilo Vilhena got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 33 played minutes Dunakeszi Lake City got a freekick which was hit by Imre Balázs. In the 33rd minute of the match Vladimiro Moutinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pál Makai skillfully saved the ball. Pál Makai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidónio Quinaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube de Gaya's zone, János Galambos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Viana came out of the goal and János Galambos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dunakeszi Lake City's Attila Ónodi has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, André Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dunakeszi Lake City's Pál Veress couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sporting Clube de Gaya. Donato Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Attila Ónodi in the 43rd minute. Ivaylo Yordanov took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pál Makai. Pál Makai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.
Ivaylo Yordanov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Pál Makai made a huge save. Pál Makai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Neves in the 53rd minute. When Pedro Zambujal fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube de Gaya's protests and gave Pedro Zambujal a yellow card for diving instead. Salvador Viegas took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pál Makai. Pál Makai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Donato Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márk Bakos in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Eduardo Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pál Makai was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Pál Makai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Viegas in the 66th minute of play. When Miklós Csiszár fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunakeszi Lake City's protests and gave Miklós Csiszár a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dunakeszi Lake City getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Miklós Csiszár hit a great ball. Pál Makai acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vladimiro Moutinho. János Galambos charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed János Galambos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Dunakeszi Lake City got a freekick which was hit by János Galambos. 78 minutes into the match, Eduardo Neves notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Dunakeszi Lake City's Pál Makai. Pál Makai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dunakeszi Lake City's Pál Makai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Dunakeszi Lake City from getting a goal against them. Szabolcs Káposztás hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Ivaylo Yordanov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Pál Makai made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Sidónio Quinaz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pál Makai. Pál Makai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. 94 minutes into the match, Dunakeszi Lake City's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Viegas came free, but Pál Makai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Dunakeszi Lake City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sporting Clube de Gaya's performance. The match ended with a win for Sporting Clube de Gaya.
