Fortunato Pizziolo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 7 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Fortunato Pizziolo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Aires. After 7 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Amos Colle. In the 10th minute Salvador Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Pizziolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortunato Pizziolo was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Salvador Viegas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Salvador Viegas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 16th minute, Ivaylo Yordanov made a precise shot to the right of Fortunato Pizziolo. Sorci Viola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 19 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Carnevale. With a little luck, Sorci Viola's Fortunato Pizziolo got control of the ball when Ivaylo Yordanov tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sorci Viola getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Amos Colle hit a great ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Salvador Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube de Gaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sorci Viola's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Salvador Viegas scored to the left of an out of position Fortunato Pizziolo, making the score, 5-0. Donato Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Cordone in the 38th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sporting Clube de Gaya defense, Ferruccio Cordone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Viana. The Sporting Clube de Gaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Viana should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when Sporting Clube de Gaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivaylo Yordanov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Fortunato Pizziolo made a huge save. 47 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Viegas came free, but Fortunato Pizziolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

Sorci Viola's Fortunato Pizziolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Viegas in the 54th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Mustapha Hadji mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube de Gaya and the Sorci Viola players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferruccio Cordone might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Viana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferruccio Cordone ran back to his position shaking his head. After 63 minutes of play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Salvador Viegas made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fortunato Pizziolo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Mustapha Hadji got a free kick in the 66th minute. Fortunato Pizziolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Viegas in the 69th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Carnevale. In the 75th minute of the match Mustapha Hadji sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Pizziolo skillfully saved the ball. After 78 minutes, Ivaylo Yordanov made it 9-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sorci Viola's Fortunato Pizziolo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the game, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Salvador Viegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fortunato Pizziolo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-1. In the 87th minute, Ferruccio Cordone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Peixoto's late challenge caught a Sorci Viola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Peixoto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Fortunato Pizziolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivaylo Yordanov in the 93rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sorci Viola's Amedeo Carnevale got a free kick in the 95th minute. Sporting Clube de Gaya were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sorci Viola for a fine match.
