In the 17th minute, Xiboquinha FC's Cláudio Ramalho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. David Guedes hit a great ball. Frédson Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Etxahun in the 26th minute of play. Frédson Freire came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate ® 9-12's Jonas Ortzi. But to his dismay, Jonas Ortzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 34th minute, Humberto Etxahun made a precise shot to the right of Frédson Freire. Xiboquinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Jonas Ortzi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. River Plate ® 9-12's Humberto Etxahun got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Sandaili made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Franklin Mendes sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Hélio Meireles made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Yuri Velloso hit a great ball. 51 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Frédson Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernabé Madrid. Frédson Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Librado in the 53rd minute of play. Adolfo Sandaili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Santiago Bautista lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River Plate ® 9-12! In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Xiboquinha FC. Cláudio Ramalho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adolfo Sandaili. 4-2. A collision led to River Plate ® 9-12 getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jonas Ortzi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Mendes in the 68th minute of play forced River Plate ® 9-12's goalkeeper Adolfo Sandaili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, River Plate ® 9-12's Felix Saturnin got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Betão Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Franklin Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Sandaili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 93 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Paes. Cláudio Ramalho hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Vinhas in the 98th minute of play forced River Plate ® 9-12's goalkeeper Adolfo Sandaili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 100th minute of the match Xiboquinha FC got a corner. River Plate ® 9-12's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cláudio Ramalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Xiboquinha FC's Franklin Mendes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. River Plate ® 9-12's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
