Kind of Blue's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espirillo FC the free kick. Per Tunberg kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Kind of Blue's Jens-Ove Käcker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Kind of Blue from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Rik came free, but Jens-Ove Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Clemente Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Clemente Txatxu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jens-Ove Käcker, 1-0. Dario Vincent blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jens-Ove Käcker having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Quirce in the 25th minute of play forced Kind of Blue's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Käcker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Clemente Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kind of Blue getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ralf Klint hit a great ball. Espirillo FC's Clemente Txatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Kind of Blue's Ralf Klint seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ralf Klint the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kind of Blue protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ralf Klint had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kind of Blue! A hard shot 37 in the game by Clemente Txatxu from a close distance when the talented Jens-Ove Käcker managed to make a qualified save. Kind of Blue's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Tunberg in the 41st minute of play forced Espirillo FC's goalkeeper Isaac Delfino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Peter Pihlgren fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kind of Blue's protests and gave Peter Pihlgren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Kind of Blue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Pihlgren to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Txatxu to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lennart Pihlberg during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Espirillo FC's Clemente Txatxu got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th match minute, Kind of Blue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Skålberg to maneuver through the defense. Isaac Delfino made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Per Tunberg sent off a good shot on target. Leo Quirce scored 2-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Ove Käcker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Espirillo FC booed when Kind of Blue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Nordmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Aaron Aritza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Kind of Blue defense, Leo Quirce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Ove Käcker. The Kind of Blue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Ove Käcker should have stopped the shot. Kim Samuelsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isaac Delfino came out and tried to block the shot, but Kim Samuelsson slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 80th minute. The supporters of Kind of Blue booed when Espirillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes Kind of Blue got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Botvidsson. In the 93rd minute Tomás Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Käcker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Espirillo FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
