KFC Uerdingen 05's Stephan Wayer got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's Oliveiro Sibila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Holger Kaumanns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicolas Anelka kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Cordarryl Baltuile mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Grau Piura and the KFC Uerdingen 05 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Atlético Grau Piura got a freekick which was hit by Cordarryl Baltuile. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Aponte during the 38th minute. Holger Kaumanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveiro Sibila, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Atlético Grau Piura's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Isauro Caloca in the 62nd minute. After taking down the ball on Atlético Grau Piura's corner Isauro Caloca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Holger Kaumanns quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Holger Kaumanns managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Atlético Grau Piura's Ascencio Belon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 72 minutes into the game, Alois Fontagnier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gaspar Yanes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isauro Caloca kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Gaspar Yanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alois Fontagnier in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Grau Piura's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stephan Wayer was slow to take the kick. During this time KFC Uerdingen 05's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Manfred Andrau almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Grau Piura's Gaspar Yanes did a great save. Gaspar Yanes came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Uerdingen 05's Erling Jelpke. But to his dismay, Erling Jelpke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0.
