Özgür Akbora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Aureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batur Arslanoğlu in the 12th minute of play forced River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper Dionisio Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Gold Raiders FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Ibar came free, but Resul Yalın reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Eate charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximo Eate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximo Eate hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. If Özgür Akbora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River de Ramos Mejía! Dionisio Aureo had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Vedat Belen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 30 minutes, Basilio Ibar made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gold Raiders FC's Resul Yalın tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 38 minutes, Batur Arslanoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gold Raiders FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Batur Arslanoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dionisio Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Akbora, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Gold Raiders FC's Resul Yalın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Ibar in the 43rd minute of play. Şenol Vahat's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dionisio Aureo firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Gold Raiders FC's Özgür Akbora slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dionisio Aureo. That made the score 1-1 after 47 minutes of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basilio Ibar to make the kick off. River de Ramos Mejía's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Casimiro Millrick in the 61st minute. Dionisio Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batur Arslanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Basilio Ibar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Resul Yalın made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Gold Raiders FC's Bülent Yeğiner got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 82nd match minute, River de Ramos Mejía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Ticho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Akbora in the 84th minute of play forced River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper Dionisio Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in River de Ramos Mejía's zone, Uygur Üstüner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Aureo came out of the goal and Uygur Üstüner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Özgür Akbora sped through River de Ramos Mejía's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dionisio Aureo. The Gold Raiders FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
