Hans Wurfel charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Wurfel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Felippe Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flatline Zombies's Sören Müggler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Damião in the 13th minute of play. Fred Lange's late challenge caught a Mamutes EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Lange helped the player get up and apologised. Rafael Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Schuler, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Almir Damião had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sören Müggler. Flatline Zombies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Almir Damião was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Sören Müggler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Zanette in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Dé Lira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sören Müggler, passed just outside the right post. In the 39thth minute of the game Silas Pena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flatline Zombies's Sören Müggler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Roberto Schuler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flatline Zombies's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Schuler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Roger Furcas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Flatline Zombies's Roberto Schuler got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Roberto Schuler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, Willy Giacomini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flatline Zombies and the Mamutes EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Willy Giacomini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silas Pena scored 2-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sören Müggler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 98th minute Dé Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Müggler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mamutes EC fully deserved thier win.
