But to his dismay, Egídio Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Percival Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sjors Hoekstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, Zijdewind SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Tellingen to maneuver through the defense. Poetass FC's Percival Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luc de Nooijer in the 11th minute of play. Percival Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjors Hoekstra in the 13th minute of the match. Adriano Botelho scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mario Klompe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute Adriano Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Klompe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Buskermolen charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giovanni Buskermolen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Giovanni Buskermolen hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Percival Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjors Hoekstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Eusébio Valladares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Mario Klompe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Sandrinho Carvalho got a free kick in the 30th minute. Luc de Nooijers short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Percival Souto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Luc de Nooijer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zijdewind SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luc de Nooijer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percival Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Percival Souto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luc de Nooijer in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Rodrigues in the 44th minute of play forced Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Mario Klompe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percival Souto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gido van der Gouw showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 47 minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Valladares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Luc de Nooijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Branco. Percival Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luc de Nooijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Zijdewind SC's Luc de Nooijer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percival Souto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 71st minute Eusébio Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Klompe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agnaldo Vieira lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Agnaldo Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Nicolas Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Coutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Zijdewind SC booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Poetass FC's Percival Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjors Hoekstra in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Luc de Nooijer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Souto. Poetass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luc de Nooijer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Mario Klompe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Poetass FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Zijdewind SC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
