The referee ignored Heineken Youths's protests and gave Steve Heikens a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Steve Heikens. Boukjan van Dongen scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Jandera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boukjan van Dongen struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jan Jandera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heineken Youths. When Steve Heikens was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. After 21 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Steve Heikens. If Michal Kubiš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Petr Šícha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geert Arend de Hoop was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the game, FC Chorchoj's Petr Šícha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavel Králík hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petr Šícha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, FC Chorchoj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Kubíček to maneuver through the defense. Boukjan van Dongen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jan Jandera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavel Řičánek charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pavel Řičánek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Chorchoj would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
