The Coventry Wasps fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matty Plant should have stopped the shot. After 12 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Tuukka Liimatainen. Matty Plant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viljami Virtala, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Phil Eagles hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Matty Plant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miika Vihtilä in the 21st minute of the match. Anselmi Oksa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Moxon in the 32nd minute of the match. Ben Moxon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Anselmi Oksa made a huge save. After 35 minutes of play, Coventry Wasps's Louis Bateman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmi Oksa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 39 played minutes Louis Bateman rounded Liverpool FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. 44 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Bateman came free, but Anselmi Oksa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Louis Bateman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmi Oksa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Liverpool FC's Viljami Virtala got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 52 minutes into the match, Tuukka Liimatainen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Matty Plant, 2-2. 60 minutes into the game, Miika Vihtilä was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phil Eagles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmi Oksa having to interfere. Anselmi Oksa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Bateman in the 79th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Viljami Virtala. Coventry Wasps's Mitch Callery was substituted for Ronny Shipperley. The supporters of Coventry Wasps booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viljami Virtala didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Justin Shuttleworth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Coventry Wasps fans cheered their team off the field, for while Liverpool FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
