Archie Robinson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Coventry Wasps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Robinson to maneuver through the defense. Cash Is King's Marcus Pilblad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Bateman in the 18th minute of play. Ben Moxon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Marcus Pilblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Coventry Wasps getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lewis Davey hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the game, Axel Östensson lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Matty Plant. After a rather tough play, Cash Is King's Staffan Säf got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes, Coventry Wasps's Jermaine Silvester shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcus Pilblad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coventry Wasps reached it. A collision led to Coventry Wasps getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Phil Eagles hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Ben Moxon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Östensson in the 42nd minute of play forced Coventry Wasps's goalkeeper Matty Plant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Louis Bateman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cash Is King's Marcus Pilblad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ben Moxon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Pilblad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Louis Bateman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Louis Bateman made a kick off. Lewis Davey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Coventry Wasps's Gus Fountain got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Axel Östensson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matty Plant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Louis Bateman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coventry Wasps made a substitution. Justin Shuttleworth replaced Ben Moxon. In the 79th minute, Allan Björkkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Lewis Davey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Pilblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cash Is King's Marcus Pilblad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Cash Is King from getting a goal against them. Gert Falck's late challenge caught a Coventry Wasps's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gert Falck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Cash Is King was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Falck to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Pilblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Bateman, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Coventry Wasps's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cash Is King had won, even though Coventry Wasps had held more of the ball.
