The goalkeeper, Anibal Fidencio, was totally fooled by The Heren Istarion's Oskari Ilari, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Erasmo Telmo fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salmuera CP's protests and gave Erasmo Telmo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Salmuera CP getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Erasmo Telmo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Leonardo Vedillo got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Salmuera CP's Lucio Primeiro in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Heren Istarion's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Primeiro in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Åke Håkansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anibal Fidencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Andreasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Guaberto Daunte hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Dan Hjortberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Anibal Fidencio made a huge save. Anibal Fidencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskari Ilari, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Oskari Ilari got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 40 minutes into the game, Oskari Ilari recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anibal Fidencio. Oskari Ilari showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucio Primeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salmuera CP's Anibal Fidencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Lindman in the 51st minute of play. Anibal Fidencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakob Andreasson's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Stig-Åke Rydelius hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes of play, Salmuera CP's Lucio Primeiro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Åke Håkansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Salmuera CP made a substitution. Adolfo Tabby replaced Leonardo Vedillo. A collision led to The Heren Istarion getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Oskari Ilari hit a great ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Remigio Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salmuera CP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Roldan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Salmuera CP booed when The Heren Istarion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Hjortberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Fidencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Lindman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt-Åke Håkansson made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Adolfo Tabby sent off a good shot on target. Salmuera CP's Remigio Roldan got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salmuera CP's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
