The tension between the FC Tarragona 2006 and the Selebi-Phikwe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 45 minutes, Xandro Cayuela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Tarragona 2006's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xandro Cayuela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin De Wulf made a kick off. The referee showed Refael Konings the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Refael Konings hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Selebi-Phikwe's Benjamin De Wulf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basilio Alabern made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0.
