In the 6th minute, Vascogoianiense FC's Ronaldão Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stevie Ely. Stevie Ely yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ulisses Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulisses Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raúl Travassos hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Vascogoianiense FC's Anderson Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Gomersall in the 12th minute of play. When Vascogoianiense FC's Raúl Travassos in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Junkyard Dogs's goalie prevented a goal. Stevie Ely made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ronaldão Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Fernandão Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Almond came free, but Anderson Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Junkyard Dogs got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Straker. 28 minutes into the game, Márcio Medeiros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stevie Ely. Márcio Medeiros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 33rd play minute Ronaldão Carvalho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Stevie Ely. 3-0. Rodd Cadwallader made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nathanial Wainwright. Anderson Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Straker in the 38th minute of the match. Válter Martins hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Vascogoianiense FC's Fernandão Matos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joe Leighton, made in the 46th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Raúl Travassos got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lance Gomersall in the 54th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Anderson Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anderson Valladares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Owen Almond showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 58 minute of play. Anderson Valladares made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Nathanial Wainwright sent off a good shot on target. Vascogoianiense FC's Anderson Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Almond in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Junkyard Dogs getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lance Gomersall hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldão Carvalho in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stevie Ely saved Junkyard Dogs from getting behind. Vascogoianiense FC's Anderson Valladares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Junkyard Dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Gomersall didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Vascogoianiense FC's Ronaldão Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stevie Ely made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Ian Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Anderson Valladares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joe Leighton. Vascogoianiense FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Owen Almond scored to the left of an out of position Anderson Valladares, making the score, 4-2. Anderson Valladares was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Lance Gomersall capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lance Gomersall really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
