When Grigoriy Rozhkov came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Днепр ФК fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grigoriy Rozhkov couldn't finish the play. Andrey Chizhov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Lizer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 0-2 became the score in the 32nd minute when Marat Shpagin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 36 played minutes Днепр ФК got a freekick which was hit by Zinoviy Akopyan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horacio Edorta got free with Andrey Chizhov in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrey Chizhov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Lizer in the 42nd minute of play. Reynaldo Lizer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrey Chizhov came out and tried to block the shot, but Reynaldo Lizer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 44th minute. A collision led to El Renacer del Quijano FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Wilfredo Gaspard hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reynaldo Lizer to make the kick off. After some careless play in the El Renacer del Quijano FC defense, Marat Shpagin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodosio Castulo. The El Renacer del Quijano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodosio Castulo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Lizer in the 56th minute of play forced Днепр ФК's goalkeeper Andrey Chizhov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klim Dubrov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Castulo having to interfere. Teodosio Castulo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klim Dubrov in the 61st minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Viktor Levashov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teodosio Castulo, 1-4. 76 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Lizer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrey Chizhov. Днепр ФК's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Lizer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5.
