Ernesto Senin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Iwens in the 25th minute of the match. Lennart Iwens received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ernesto Senin came out and tried to block the shot, but Lennart Iwens slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 27th minute. In the 33rd match minute, Lions United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Hemelsoet to maneuver through the defense. Gillis Heirremans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Manny in the 40th minute of the match. Gillis Heirremans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lions United! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Lander Demeulemeester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ernesto Senin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Lions United's goalkeeper Gillis Heirremans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Aurken. In the 81st minute Erasmo Roderigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gillis Heirremans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Qwinton hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Tommi Uytebroeck took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Senin. Ernesto Senin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Gillis Heirremans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Vitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. 【E ➣15 de Julio 2009 played a much better game than Lions United and deserved their victory. The Lions United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
