In the 19th minute, Salvador Quirze fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vito Vergílio, passed just outside the right post. Vito Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Quirze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Placido Lia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vito Vergílio came out and tried to block the shot, but Placido Lia slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. After 36 played minutes America FC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Baptista. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Placido Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alzaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Lia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Vito Vergílio managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Alzaga FC's Pedro Salamon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, America FC's Alexsandro Mendonça got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42ndth minute of the game Pedro Salamon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but America FC's Vito Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Placido Lia took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Vergílio. Vito Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Placido Lia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Salamon took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Vergílio. Vito Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 56th minute, Luiz Eduardo Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Placido Lia in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vito Vergílio saved America FC from getting behind. 62 minutes into the game, Vladimir da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. America FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alzaga FC the free kick. A collision led to America FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vladimir da Rocha hit a great ball. When Alzaga FC's Pedro Salamon in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye America FC's goalie prevented a goal. 65 minutes into the game, Alzaga FC's Manuel Ekain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vito Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After having played for 70 minutes, Pedro Salamon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alzaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Salamon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Quirze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Vito Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Salvador Quirze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alzaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Quirze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Quirze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Vergílio having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, America FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. If Pedro Salamon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Osmar Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Duarte having to interfere. When Alzaga FC's Placido Lia in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye America FC's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Manuel Ekain struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Vito Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alzaga FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Alzaga FC had played much better football throughout.
