In the 8th minute, Richard Quintal made a precise shot to the right of Mansour Al Ramzi. Golden Tigers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Golden Tigers's Faris Al Shati nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Almir Faria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hamzah Al Dowaisan hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Richard Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mansour Al Ramzi having to interfere. Almir Faria made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Ali Al Hajraf sent off a good shot on target. Almir Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shaker Hayat in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Ali Al Hajraf recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Almir Faria. Ali Al Hajraf showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 31st minute, Faris Al Shati made a precise shot to the right of Almir Faria. Compostela FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After having played for 33 minutes, Talib Al Enzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Talib Al Enzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Richard Quintal notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Golden Tigers's Mansour Al Ramzi. Mansour Al Ramzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shaker Hayat to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Khalefa Al Homaithe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shaker Hayat in the 57th minute of play. Bandar Al Amer hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Saher Al Holey got a free kick in the 60th minute. Almir Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalefa Al Homaithe in the 64th minute of play. Mansour Al Ramzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Almir Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shaker Hayat in the 71st minute of play. After 77 minutes, José Pedro Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Compostela FSCMZ and the Golden Tigers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Compostela FSCMZ's José Pedro Matos got a free kick in the 77th minute. Compostela FSCMZ's Cesinha Paraense was substituted for Carlos da Costa. A collision led to Compostela FSCMZ getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. José Pedro Matos hit a great ball. Cesinha Paraense took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mansour Al Ramzi. Mansour Al Ramzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. In the 85th minute, Shaker Hayat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Dorival Sanches put in a rough tackle. If Shaker Hayat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Golden Tigers fully deserved thier win.
