Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Rego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Oliveira having to interfere. Eduardo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Penha in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Beto Guedes lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Eduardo Lima. 25 minutes into the match, SC Angrense's goalkeeper Eduardo Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Rosen. In the 26thth minute of the game Beto Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Angrense's Eduardo Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Carlos Eduardo Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the S.C. Ferrari defense, Gregório Lages kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Carlos Oliveira. The S.C. Ferrari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carlos Oliveira should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, SC Angrense's Gregório Lages got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jordão Serpa made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, SC Angrense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Taveira to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Rosen, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Elano Galvão scored 3-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Kurt Rosen in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Angrense's Tomás Abrantes. S.C. Ferrari's João Carlos Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordão Serpa in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Jordão Serpa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Angrense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jordão Serpa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kléberson Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Willian Paes replaced Carlos Eduardo Penha. In the 71st match minute, SC Angrense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregório Lages to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Vilaça during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
