Jorge De Pedro started the match with the kick off. György Csordás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Teresa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Emiliano Teresa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orti Machado hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Kornél Bán took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Micael Castelao. Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Keszi Athletic's György Csordás got control of the ball when Ray Marrero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Keszi Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dávid Edelényi to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Teresa during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Real Club Celta de Vigo! György Csordás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge De Pedro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Keszi Athletic defense, Orti Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of György Csordás. The Keszi Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that György Csordás should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attila Károlyi in the 36th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Micael Castelao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orti Machado scored 2-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of György Csordás, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge De Pedro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without György Csordás having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krisztián Dénes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Krisztián Dénes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keszi Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Krisztián Dénes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Micael Castelao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Krisztián Dénes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orti Machado in the 55th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper György Csordás to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Keszi Athletic getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Árpád Kerekes hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match Ray Marrero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but György Csordás showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jorge De Pedro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Club Celta de Vigo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge De Pedro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. György Csordás breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Krisztián Dénes struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Micael Castelao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keszi Athletic. Real Club Celta de Vigo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Attila Károlyi scored to the left of an out of position Micael Castelao, making the score, 2-2. Micael Castelao acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Árpád Kerekes. Orti Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without György Csordás having to interfere. The long shot by Dávid Edelényi in the 76th minute really tested Micael Castelao's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge De Pedro in the 79th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper György Csordás to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. György Csordás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Marrero in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Beremundo Herrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Micael Castelao acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kornél Bán. 88 minutes into the match, Frodo Acarreta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of György Csordás. Keszi Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frodo Acarreta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 91st minute, Jorge De Pedro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keszi Athletic's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
