Gil Ribas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

In the 51st minute, Conny Stober reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gil Ribas. The goal made the score 0-9. Jari Anzengruber succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 54th playminute. Gil Ribas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jari Anzengruber in the 59th minute of play. Gil Ribas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conny Stober in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hartmut Holtzmann got free with Gil Ribas in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Academica Pulheim's Jari Anzengruber slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gil Ribas. That made the score 0-14 after 91 minutes of play. Academica Pulheim's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
