Rodrigo Isidors short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Dietrich Heppner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dietrich Heppner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Elequemedo in the 8th minute of play. Baltasar Neron came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Conny Stober. But to his dismay, Conny Stober quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16th minute, Jari Anzengruber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, 【E ➣ Gatorei 1976's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Anzengruber came free, but Baltasar Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltasar Neron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoph Sönksen, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jari Anzengruber in the 26th minute of play forced 【E ➣ Gatorei 1976's goalkeeper Baltasar Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Ruben Cerilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Paziorek hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 34 minutes of play, Academica Pulheim's Conny Stober made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baltasar Neron was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Freddy Benat fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 【E ➣ Gatorei 1976's protests and gave Freddy Benat a yellow card for diving instead. Freddy Benat kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The 【E ➣ Gatorei 1976 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Academica Pulheim were winning 0-3.

Baltasar Neron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jari Anzengruber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Academica Pulheim eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
