Sungurhan Sezgi's late challenge caught a Randkleve's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sungurhan Sezgi helped the player get up and apologised. Sungurhan Sezgi hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Samsunspor's Şafak Semih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Højskel in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Huneck came free, but Şafak Semih reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Knut Huneck in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şafak Semih saved Samsunspor from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Yağızhan Acıbadem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match Georg Austmann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şafak Semih showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Otto Højskel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şafak Semih was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Yağızhan Acıbadem charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yağızhan Acıbadem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yağızhan Acıbadem hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Leo Bangstrup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Otto Højskel in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şafak Semih prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Samsunspor's Şafak Şeref got a free kick in the 36th minute. Knut Huneck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otto Højskel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Şafak Semih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Otto Højskel sped through Samsunspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Şafak Semih. After some careless play in the Samsunspor defense, Knut Huneck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şafak Semih. The Samsunspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şafak Semih should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 70thth minute of the game Otto Højskel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samsunspor's Şafak Semih was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Randkleve booed when Samsunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Osman Cerit didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Georg Austmann came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Randkleve fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Austmann couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Knut Huneck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Şafak Semih. Knut Huneck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. In the 86th minute, Asgar Hasbek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes, Samsunspor's Mehmet Osman Cerit shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Petter Rykov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Samsunspor reached it. 90 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goalkeeper Şafak Semih had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otto Højskel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Huneck in the 96th minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Şafak Semih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Randkleve played a much better game than Samsunspor and deserved their victory. The Samsunspor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
