When Yanniek Wellens came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Purple Talents fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yanniek Wellens couldn't finish the play. Jasper Libreghts received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nils-Åke Fristedt came out and tried to block the shot, but Jasper Libreghts slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 9th minute. Elefanterna's Nils-Åke Fristedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart De Koq in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Patric Willig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Elefanterna getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kristoffer Kellman hit a great ball. Purple Talents's Brecht De Wortelaer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Elefanterna. Bart De Koq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Fristedt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart De Koq in the 24th minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Fristedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Elefanterna booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brecht De Wortelaer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elefanterna's Johnny Ekeroth couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Purple Talents. Tord Nyman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christoph Hagemans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Nils-Åke Fristedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Libreghts in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Elefanterna's Johnny Ekeroth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christoph Hagemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Claes in the 43rd minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Fristedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Purple Talents fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Purple Talents's Diederick Struelens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Purple Talents's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
