The Palmares Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Palmares Futebol Clube's Joãozinho Pernambucano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Palmares Futebol Clube's João Vítor Sena was substituted for Ismael Secco. In the 69th minute, Joãozinho Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmares Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 73 minutes, Gualterio Estebano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PLASNIKE and the Palmares Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gualterio Estebano hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match.
