In the 6th minute, Cristiano Chanza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Obrero Barquisimeto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 16th match minute, Khachatryan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otis Coppack to maneuver through the defense. Gumaro Taranco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Small, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Khachatryan's Del Cleveland was substituted for Jasper Small. A collision led to Obrero Barquisimeto getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Isaias Urriola hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Del Cleveland got free with Gumaro Taranco in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Trujillo in the 40th minute of play forced Obrero Barquisimeto's goalkeeper Gumaro Taranco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Chanza kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Jed Strickland recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gumaro Taranco. Jed Strickland showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jed Strickland made a kick off. Jed Strickland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gumaro Taranco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Otilio Galindez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Obrero Barquisimeto's Cristiano Chanza got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gumaro Taranco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jed Strickland, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gumaro Taranco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson Trujillo in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Berart Macias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jefferson Trujillo came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Khachatryan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jefferson Trujillo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Obrero Barquisimeto's Belasko Tirado got a free kick in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Obrero Barquisimeto getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Belasko Tirado hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Obrero Barquisimeto's Alex Aliprando got a free kick in the 76th minute. The supporters of Khachatryan booed when Obrero Barquisimeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Chanza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Trujillo took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gumaro Taranco. Gumaro Taranco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Otilio Galindez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Khachatryan were the better team. Khachatryan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
