Marcial Jayvier charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcial Jayvier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Jayvier. 39 minutes into the game, Cecilio Jerico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercedes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FURIOZA the free kick. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mercedes! Justo Ixona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefano Mammarella, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 played minutes FURIOZA got a freekick which was hit by Zdzislaw Fleszar. The Mercedes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FURIOZA were winning 1-5.

In the 53rd minute, Fryderyk Wykowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Radoslaw Soliwoda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FURIOZA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radoslaw Soliwoda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FURIOZA's Radoslaw Soliwoda got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mercedes's Cecilio Jerico got a free kick in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes's zone, Radoslaw Soliwoda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Ixona came out of the goal and Radoslaw Soliwoda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Jerico was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 83rd match minute, Mercedes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Jerico to maneuver through the defense. If Radoslaw Soliwoda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Vela. After 91 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Canor. 92 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goalkeeper Justo Ixona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radoslaw Soliwoda. FURIOZA played a much better game than Mercedes and deserved their victory. The Mercedes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
