The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Naldo Martins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Augusto Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Augusto Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Futuros FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. After 39 played minutes Futuros FC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Cerezo. The KS Ruch Chorzów fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when KS Ruch Chorzów's Cyprian Grajewski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jaroslaw Furtok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Barbosa in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of Futuros FC booed when KS Ruch Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Sakowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Baltazar Cerezo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KS Ruch Chorzów's Jaroslaw Furtok didn't even have to move. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cyprian Grajewski was the one to do the kick off. Rafal Poniewaz hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Naldo Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyprian Grajewski in the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Bartosz Pisarcik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Futuros FC's Naldo Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Grajewski in the 66th minute of play. Cyprian Grajewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Naldo Martins made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Baltazar Cerezo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of KS Ruch Chorzów's Jaroslaw Furtok. Jaroslaw Furtok was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cyprian Grajewski in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Martins saved Futuros FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Futuros FC's Álvaro Barbosa got a free kick in the 79th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cyprian Grajewski got free with Naldo Martins in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 played minutes Futuros FC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Cerezo. KS Ruch Chorzów's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
