When David Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Roque FC's protests and gave David Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, one of San Roque FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for San Roque FC. In the 9th minute, Eleazar Coello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romel Villarreal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Brion Bermejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Romel Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Jeremias Herrero notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of San Roque FC's Romel Villarreal. Romel Villarreal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Universitario de deportes's Eleazar Coello got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to San Roque FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jorge Carrera hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Eleazar Coello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romel Villarreal was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The San Roque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romel Villarreal should have stopped the shot. Brion Bermejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romel Villarreal having to interfere. The San Roque FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Universitario de deportes were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Eleazar Coello made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Universitario de deportes's Egoi Bermejo made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romel Villarreal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brion Bermejo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Romel Villarreal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario de deportes. Romel Villarreal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brion Bermejo in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Brion Bermejo notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of San Roque FC's Romel Villarreal.
