Clemente Arce started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Szajk LC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Balázs Kecskés hit a great ball. Marcell Sinkó kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of Leon Sport Club booed when Szajk LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Csongrádi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Sport Club's Júlio Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clemente Arce struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Károly Sebes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leon Sport Club. Marcell Sinkó received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Victor Chilavert came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcell Sinkó slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. Olivér Ferenczy succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 28th playminute. 31 minutes into the match, Vágner Teixeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Károly Sebes. Szajk LC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vágner Teixeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Marcell Sinkó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vágner Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Leon Sport Club's Clemente Arce got a free kick in the 44th minute. Marcell Sinkó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Chilavert having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Marcell Sinkó made the kick off in the second half. Victor Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcell Sinkó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olivér Ferenczy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Victor Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Szajk LC's Balázs Kecskés got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Victor Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonz Berényi, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Szajk LC's Károly Sebes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Teixeira in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Teixeira came free, but Károly Sebes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when Leon Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Alex de Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leon Sport Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szajk LC the free kick. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Leon Sport Club! After a rather tough play, Leon Sport Club's Adriano Teixeira got a free kick in the 77th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Márton Kárpáthy came free, but Victor Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Károly Sebes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcell Sinkó's late challenge caught a Leon Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcell Sinkó helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Leon Sport Club booed when Szajk LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcell Sinkó didn't get a good kick on the ball. Károly Sebes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cauan Garcia in the 91st minute. Victor Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márton Kárpáthy in the 92nd minute of play. Marcell Sinkó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Zsolt Lendvay came free, but Victor Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcell Sinkó in the 98th minute of the match. Leon Sport Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
