Teemu Koponen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Caccia, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes Galand FC got a freekick which was hit by Petri Puranen. Cesate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claudio Manzoni in the 66th minute. Cesate's Ennio Grasso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teemu Koponen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Achille Caccia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Piccini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Fortunato Proia in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galand FC's Leevi Savijoki. The crowd rose to their feet as Cesate's Achille Caccia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teemu Koponen. That made the score 0-2 after 81 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Cesate's Ennio Grasso got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ernesto De Lucia in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teemu Koponen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Orvo Meltoranta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beppe Quercia was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Teemu Koponen made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ernesto De Lucia sent off a good shot on target. Cesate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
