Aron Åkerström came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by America Futebol Clube SP's Nicolas Souza. But to his dismay, Nicolas Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 16 played minutes Saint Glenn Gothenburg got a freekick which was hit by Valter Berggren. America Futebol Clube SP's Carlos Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valter Berggren kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Valter Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saint Glenn Gothenburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Valter Berggren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nildo Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to America Futebol Clube SP getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Nilton Sanches hit a great ball. Verner Alström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 26 in the game by Per-Åke Sjöberg from a close distance when the talented Nildo Lara managed to make a qualified save. America Futebol Clube SP's players were relieved. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Nildo Lara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of America Futebol Clube SP booed when Saint Glenn Gothenburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valter Berggren didn't get a good kick on the ball. America Futebol Clube SP's Carlos Veiga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Saint Glenn Gothenburg. 31 minutes into the game, Jack Kruuse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saint Glenn Gothenburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave America Futebol Clube SP the free kick. After a rather tough play, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Jack Kruuse got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Jonathan Termander fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saint Glenn Gothenburg's protests and gave Jonathan Termander a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of America Futebol Clube SP booed when Saint Glenn Gothenburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Termander didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Souza came free, but Aron Åkerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Souza in the 43rd minute of play forced Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goalkeeper Aron Åkerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Fausto de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Aron Åkerström. Saint Glenn Gothenburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per-Åke Sjöberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th play minute Nicolas Souza came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aron Åkerström. 0-4. Carlos Veiga scored 0-5 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aron Åkerström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Verner Alström's late challenge caught a America Futebol Clube SP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Verner Alström helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Verner Alström got a free kick in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Saint Glenn Gothenburg getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Verner Alström hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Figueiredo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Aron Åkerström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
