Spectators: 148 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Karol Panasewicz kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Petruț Cristea notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Newcastle United's Kryspin Wyrostek. Kryspin Wyrostek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute of the game, Damian Ghișe landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 8 minutes, Barnaba Bentkowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newcastle United and the Rapid Bucharest players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rapid Bucharest booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnaba Bentkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mikolaj Jaworski kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Flavius Cernat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kryspin Wyrostek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mieszko Waldoch got free with Ştefan Ifrim in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ştefan Ifrim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 23rd minute. Newcastle United's Remigiusz Wodaszak couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rapid Bucharest. Karol Panasewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ştefan Ifrim made a huge save. If Mieszko Waldoch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinu Suluțiu to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Flavius Cernat recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kryspin Wyrostek. Flavius Cernat showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Mieszko Waldoch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ştefan Ifrim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateusz Polakowski hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Kryspin Wyrostek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Băsescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Kryspin Wyrostek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Suluțiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Dinu Suluțiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kryspin Wyrostek, 0-4. The audience was convinced that Adam Băsescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kryspin Wyrostek was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Rapid Bucharest left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Newcastle United.
